The Boy inthe Striped Pajamas was an amazing story about a general's son who befriends an imprisoned Jewish boy through the fence of a concentration camp. It shows the holding of the Jews in the eyes of an innocent child as he comes to the realization of the true horror in it. The boys are both so excepting of one another because they lack the corruption that the adults suffer from during that time period. To them they dont care what race the other is they only care if the other one is nice or not.

This reminds me of The Diary of A Young Girl because both people are dealing with the Holocaust and the fear of losing someone they love or dying. Both books show how much the people suffernig from the Holocaust needs friendship and  to have that companion that cares for them. In The Diary of A Young Girl here friend was a young Jewish boy named Peter who was also in hiding with her.

The view of how friendship help theses people through hard times makes me wonder if friendship can save someones life by saving there spirit. For example I've noticed that when one older person in a relationship dies the other dies soon after. My mother says that it's from a broken heart. So that makes me wonder, can someone actually die from a broken heart.

This picture represents different racism tactics that were done in news papers during the beginning half the 1900's. It was mainly faced toward Jewish people making fun of their noses and calling them rats. Which was very commen during that time period. Belittling them to the public eye, making them less of a person and slowly turning everyone against them. Things like this are still done today as direct means of racism. It is more tame no though because its not really looked at or cared about and has no influence on everyones opinion, now its just small hurtful jabs at everyone. Back then lots of people read newspapers and were greatly influendced by them so by the time that the Jewish people were sent away to concentration camps alot of peoples ideas of them were already bad and they already thought that they were bad people.

Now today jokes and pictures such as those are faced alot toward Illegal mexican immigrants. They say things referring to crossing the border from mexico to the United States and many other things. Even though many people, including mexicans, just laugh at this pictures and don't get offended its only because these pictures dont have much influence and is just for fun. Though some may agree with it not many people care about the "funny art" that teens look at on the internet and apps on their phones they are more about political things and work.

This video is a clip from an episode of Law and Order: SVU. In this particular episode the police think that a set of twins,a  boy and a girl, were both naturally born their particular sex. It turns out that the girl was actually born a boy but due to a horrible circumcetion gone wrong he went through life believe he was a girl until the police told him.
All of his life he felt different. He never felt like he was himself. No matter how much his parents tried to make him fell like a girl and treated him like a girl he just felt like he was a boy. he was even attracted to girls which angered the mother creatly. no matter what he went though or what people told him all of his life he's felt like a boy but didnt know why.
This is like The Diary of Anne Frank to me because no matter what happened to Anne or where their family went, she was still a teenage girl. she liked the Van Dan's boy Peter and she was hormounel and felt like no one understood her. All the time they were in hiding Anne's parents thought that she should grow up, be mature, and be brave. But Anne couldn't be those things no matter how much she tried most of the time because she could only be what she was which was a teenage girl. She couldnt help with the way she felt towards different things and she didnt know why. She just was the way she was and couldnt be anything other than that.
