http://www.thrivingfamily.com/Family/Media/book-reviews/b/boy-in-striped-pajamas.aspx

The Boy inthe Striped Pajamas was an amazing story about a general's son who befriends an imprisoned Jewish boy through the fence of a concentration camp. It shows the holding of the Jews in the eyes of an innocent child as he comes to the realization of the true horror in it. The boys are both so excepting of one another because they lack the corruption that the adults suffer from during that time period. To them they dont care what race the other is they only care if the other one is nice or not.

This reminds me of The Diary of A Young Girl because both people are dealing with the Holocaust and the fear of losing someone they love or dying. Both books show how much the people suffernig from the Holocaust needs friendship and  to have that companion that cares for them. In The Diary of A Young Girl here friend was a young Jewish boy named Peter who was also in hiding with her.

The view of how friendship help theses people through hard times makes me wonder if friendship can save someones life by saving there spirit. For example I've noticed that when one older person in a relationship dies the other dies soon after. My mother says that it's from a broken heart. So that makes me wonder, can someone actually die from a broken heart.

This picture represents different racism tactics that were done in news papers during the beginning half the 1900's. It was mainly faced toward Jewish people making fun of their noses and calling them rats. Which was very commen during that time period. Belittling them to the public eye, making them less of a person and slowly turning everyone against them. Things like this are still done today as direct means of racism. It is more tame no though because its not really looked at or cared about and has no influence on everyones opinion, now its just small hurtful jabs at everyone. Back then lots of people read newspapers and were greatly influendced by them so by the time that the Jewish people were sent away to concentration camps alot of peoples ideas of them were already bad and they already thought that they were bad people.

Now today jokes and pictures such as those are faced alot toward Illegal mexican immigrants. They say things referring to crossing the border from mexico to the United States and many other things. Even though many people, including mexicans, just laugh at this pictures and don't get offended its only because these pictures dont have much influence and is just for fun. Though some may agree with it not many people care about the "funny art" that teens look at on the internet and apps on their phones they are more about political things and work.

This video is a clip from an episode of Law and Order: SVU. In this particular episode the police think that a set of twins,a  boy and a girl, were both naturally born their particular sex. It turns out that the girl was actually born a boy but due to a horrible circumcetion gone wrong he went through life believe he was a girl until the police told him.
All of his life he felt different. He never felt like he was himself. No matter how much his parents tried to make him fell like a girl and treated him like a girl he just felt like he was a boy. he was even attracted to girls which angered the mother creatly. no matter what he went though or what people told him all of his life he's felt like a boy but didnt know why.
This is like The Diary of Anne Frank to me because no matter what happened to Anne or where their family went, she was still a teenage girl. she liked the Van Dan's boy Peter and she was hormounel and felt like no one understood her. All the time they were in hiding Anne's parents thought that she should grow up, be mature, and be brave. But Anne couldn't be those things no matter how much she tried most of the time because she could only be what she was which was a teenage girl. She couldnt help with the way she felt towards different things and she didnt know why. She just was the way she was and couldnt be anything other than that.

The book The Diary of a Young Girl is an intense set of diary intries written by a jewish teenage girl  named Anne Frank during the holocaust. She writes all about her life in hiding with her family and the terror and problems they face with the fear of being found. Even throough all of that though she still has her reagular family problems as everyone else. She argues with her mother and sister all the time because she fells as though they are picking on her and how she fells only as though her father understands her.
Anne also writes about the anger between her family and the one which they were staying with in the attic. In her diary she explains the fued between her mother and the other families mother, and the weird boyish was of the other families son. Throughout the story even though they are isolated from the world for a little over two years both family deal with the same problems as all other normal families in the outside world. The parents dealing with rebellious children and their attitudes, then the children dealing with the feelings of being alone and haviing no one there to understand them and what they are going through.
While Anne is in the attic she and her sister still learn and are educated by the parents as if they were being homeschooled which I find extraordinary because if I were but in hiding out of fear for my life I dought that the main thing on my mind would every be school. Even so I guess that was their way of keeping the feeling that they were apart of the world and had a life instead of just being stuck in the attic.Through the story though Anne Frank always keeps her head high, with a few exceptions. She always writes as though she and her family will survive and be okay.

The Pied Piper reminds me of the Holocuast because alot of people were taken away with the promise of a safe place.  Both of these event focused on one group of people and getting rid of them leaving a lasting impression on everyone whose heard the story of it or about it. Even though the pied Piper story is fictional it was based on the true events of the Children Crusade in England in 1212.
During the holocaust alot of Jewish citizens in Germany and other surrounding countries were taken to concentration camps and brutially murdered or tortured over a long period of time. This is very sad to me because many innocent people were killed because of one evil person and the idiotic people that followed in his beliefs. Its something that has affected everyone from that time on in all parts of the world, showing how cruel any person or group of people could actually be.
In the story the Pied Piper a man is promised by the British government that he would be payed if he could get rid of all of the rats/mice that were roaming the city. When the man does as the government says they dont hold up their end of the bargain and pay him, this results in the Pied Piper taken all of the children in their town and leading them somewhere that the parents of the town would never find them. This story was told as a historical fictional twist on the Childrens Crusades. In the Childrens Crusades over 30,000 children over Europe all went to Genoa to the Pope saying that they were their for a Christain were and that he difed them. The children then were turned around and sent back the way they came. None of the children ever made it home and that lead to the myth of the Pied Piper.
